Commercializing innovations is about more than marketing a technology.

Its true potential unfolds only when it creates concrete value for business and society. That is where we come in: we guide innovations on their path from research and development into practical application and turn technological potential into market-ready solutions.

To that end, we identify relevant opportunities early, unlock market potential with purpose, and take the right strategic steps: from protecting intellectual property and identifying suitable application fields through developing sustainable commercialization models and finding the right partners.

Successful innovation does not come from new knowledge alone, but from putting that knowledge to work. Together, we turn ideas into the future.

1. Structured preparation
Deepening the market assessment

Building on the initial assessment, we update and deepen the market analysis. We look at market developments and competitors and evaluate opportunities and risks.

Creating marketing materials

We create a tech offer and a short presentation (pitch deck) that clearly capture the benefit, maturity level, and application scenarios.

Prospecting

In this essential step, we research companies and decision-makers that match the technology profile, known as prospects. To do that we use BAYPAT's own network as well as tools such as Omnifact and FirstIgnite.

Sales strategy

Using the prospecting results, we create a targeted sales strategy. That means we prioritize industries and contacts and define which trade shows and conferences are relevant for presenting the technology.

2. Kickoff with inventor team and invention advisors
Strategy and materials presentation

We align the sales strategy with you (the inventor team and invention advisors) and gather input from the inventor team on the marketing materials and the company list.

Shared understanding

We collect additional ideas from the inventors, take feedback into account, and clarify open questions.

The outcome

An aligned sales strategy including timeline, role allocation, and clear next steps.

3. Publication of the technology offer
Start of communication

We publish the reviewed technology offer on our website and promote it through additional channels (for example LinkedIn and Instagram) to increase reach.

4. Launch of the sales campaign: partner search
Outreach

Contacting potential partners domestically and abroad

Presence at trade shows & conferences

Qualified initial conversations with potential interested parties.

Follow-up

Systematic documentation and follow-ups so promising contacts are deepened quickly.
